Generally, it takes between 4-6 weeks, this is according to HMRC’s standard timescales to process tax refund claims. This is of course provided that you submitted correct information in the first place and supplied all required documents.
During busier periods of the year, typically around January and April, this may take longer. It is important to note that any timescales that we quote are directly provided by HMRC and these are subject to change at any time.
Remember, we don’t get paid until you receive your refund, so it is in our interest to do everything we can at our end to chase up HMRC in order to help reduce turnaround times.
