Moving Overseas

If you are leaving the UK, or have already left, you are still fully entitled to claim your tax back. Every nationality gets treated exactly the same in the UK and you have the same rights to claim your money.

Some people however do hear rumours that you can claim all of your tax back if you decide to leave the UK. Unfortunately, this is simply not true. As you will have worked for a UK based company then you are liable to pay tax in the UK and some of your tax will remain here.

If however you are leaving the UK at any stage there still is a very high chance that you will be due a large refund as you have only worked for part of the tax year. It is still very worthwhile contacting us as we are confident that you don't want to leave any money behind!
